| Bio: | I'm 29, from New York but currently living with my husband (yes we're legally married) in Johannesburg South Africa. We hope to move back to the states someday, but not sure when we'll be able to. Furry info for those interested in such things: Species: Dragon Subtype: Furry/feathery mammal type dragon Colors: White or very light silver/gray short fur (fuzzy) in most places. Hair reddish magenta, straight and usually long, wings mostly magenta with a slightly darker fade towards the ends of the feathers, and tail a purplish-magenta. Other spots where you'd expect to find hair (you can guess) pretty much match. Physical details: anthro, 10 fingers/toes, height about 5.5 feet/165cm, weight about 200lbs/90kg. (yeah I need to go back to the gym again) Tail: fluffy and waggable like a wolf's tail, often wags. :P Ears: similar to a cat or fox, fairly high up on the head and mostly point forward, can swivel to sides and flatten down back. They're white since they have the same short fuzz as the body and poke up through the hair. Muzzle: not as long as the typical dragon model, but not completely flat, more mammal-like, with nostrils instead of a nosepad. Teeth are omnivore with moderate fangs at the eyeteeth. Tounge is non-forked. Feet/legs: semi-digitgrade with a reverse opposable "thumb" digit near the "heel" that can extend down to add stability on flat ground or wrap in to grip uneven surfaces. It's short and flat and has a swing arc of about 60 degrees to either side of straight back, and is somewhat opposeable to aid stability and gripping uneven surfaces. The other 4 toes in front are fairly wide and mostly for support, not dexterity, though they can curl enough to provide grip in conjunction with the rear toe. Wings: feathery and bird-like, shape is roughly eliptical with a flatter leading edge, with an aspect ratio (span/width) of about 3.0. Span is 12.33 feet (double armspan) with a width of about 4 feet, i.e. roughly as wide as the shoulder to pelvis length. When not extended, the wings fold back in 3 segments (like a bird, equivalent to shoulder, elbow, and wrist joint in up/down/up method) and lie completely flat against the back, with the tops coming to just about even with the back of the shoulder. There's a slight space at the bottom when folded that the tail conveniently sticks out of. The wing shape is optimized for rapid launch and high maneuverability powered flight, and is not efficient for gliding.
